Wellington Car Carriers is owned and operated by Tom Ireland.
He has always had a love of classic or prestigious cars and owns a 1940 ford pickup with late model LS1 motor and running gear.
After retiring he wanted a change of pace and to do something he was passionate about and could enjoy.
He established Wellington Car Carriers in 2011 to provide a superior service to car owners who have invested in their special vehicles with technical skill, love and affection.
In 2013 Alan Eager has come on board. Alan has over 30 years experience in transport and towing and is well known in the hot rodding community owning a beautiful SSR Chev, 57 Chev sports coupe and 29 Ford Coupe.
Wellington Car Carriers can also move boats, caravans, trailers, forklifts, machinery and scissor lifts (up to 3500 kg)
The company is based in the Wellington area, and Tom and Alan drive for the company. Using modern technology they are able to talk to customers direct from the truck cab, helping with advice on car care and preparation prior to pickup.
While the company is Wellington focussed it is able to transport items to any part of New Zealand if required.
